How To Help

One Time or Recurring Donations to Support Our Ministry in Southeast Baltimore

Support for Households Impacted by a Devastating Fire on the 3400 block of E. Lombard

Early in the morning on February 27th, a fire broke out on the block. It quickly engulfed one house, and spread to four adjoining households. Three family members died due to the fire (an 8 year old boy, a 13 year old girl, and a 22 year old man). All five families are unable to return to their homes for the foreseeable future.

At this time, financial support is far and away the best way that we can be helpful. It allows families to arrange for temporary and short-term housing, and to make immediate replacement purchases for items necessary for daily life. As families figure out their housing plans, and take stock of all that has been lost, then needs expand a bit to include clothing, food, furniture, etc. But often times it takes weeks to reach that point, as it depends on some housing stability. For the moment, then--please, be generous. All funds raised through this effort go directly to the families impacted by this fire.

Donations to Support Our Efforts to Feed Neighborhood Families

We are providing groceries, produce, and meals to more than 200 local families, now once every month (on the fourth Saturday). Your donations help us purchase food from the Maryland Food Bank and from local sources to prepare meals and give out as groceries.

Donations to Support the Clinton Street Community Center: Refugee Resettlement

We purchased two fire-damaged properties next to our church building so that we are able to better support families and expand our community work--including adding two year old classrooms for The Highlandtown Preschool, and providing housing and support for refugee families. You can learn more and make a donation at this website.
